Posting is specific to a Final Assembly Vehicle Engineering Manufacturing Engineer (Automation, Fluid Fill, Squeak & Rattle, Tire & Wheel, or Wheel Alignment) The Final Assembly Engineering Advanced Feasibility and Planning Vehicle Engineering Team is a cross-functional team having the primary responsibility to study, plan, and implement projects required to launch vehicle programs at North American Assembly Plants. This team has responsibility for Final Assembly automation/glass cell, fluid fill, tire & wheel, wheel alignment, and squeak & rattle equipment. The Manufacturing Engineering candidate will be a part of this team, responsible for the following: - Provide manufacturing engineering leadership on new model programs beginning at through / P-Release. - Identify and drive resolution of manufacturing related issues. - Interface with cross-functional (PD, STA, MP&L, NMP, etc.) activities. - Implementation of new/modified tooling and facilities based on product and process changes. - Lead assembly tooling installation, start-up, and commissioning at the Assembly Plant. In addition, support tooling buy-off @ vendor facility. - Drive quality, cost, and labor improvements.

- AutoCAD proficiency. - 3D CAD analysis proficiency. - Cycle line layout development. - Strong computer skills (Excel, Power Point, etc.). - Strong verbal & written communication and presentation skills. - Project management skills. - Ability to operate in stressful situations, within timing constraints. - Ability to work with minimal direct supervision. - Ability to develop tooling, and installation scopes of work. - 5D/8D Development proficiency.
Skills Preferred:
- Working knowledge of statistics (control charts, data collecting, etc.). - Knowledge in one or more of the following Ford software systems: AVBOM, WERS, GSPAS/APT, Teamcenter, AIM, CPARS, GTR, FIS. - Knowledge of GMRs and GVOSS.
Experience Required:
- Automotive Manufacturing engineering experience required. - Experience w/tooling, processes and facilities required.
Experience Preferred:
- Experience in one or more of the following: Automation, Fluid Fill, Squeak & Rattle, Tire & Wheel, or Wheel Alignment preferred. - Error proofing experience preferred.
Education Required:
- Bachelor degree required.
Education Preferred:
- Bachelor degree in engineering preferred.

Additional Information :
- Extended travel to Assembly Plants in US, Canada, and/or Mexico required.
