Position Summary
The purpose of the Commissary Supervisor is to lead the food production of the kitchen supplying the Minnesota LifeCafes with Meals to Go and other offerings that support the corporate LifeCafe mission and vision.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversees and participates in production of Meals to Go for Minnesota LifeCafes, including, but not limited to, cutting ingredients, cooking ingredients, reading and writing prep lists, and building meals
- Maintains kitchen cleanliness including, but not limited to sweeping, mopping, doing dishes, and deep-cleaning
- Conducts ordering, receiving, inventory of raw ingredients with cost control emphasis
- Follows recipes and leads by example with exceptional attention to detail and food quality focus
- Maintains great working relationship with team members and members
Position Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3 to 4 years of kitchen experience
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to build relationships with members and team members
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and resolve conflicts quickly, efficiently, and professionally
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both in writing and verbally
- Ability to use a computer
Preferred Requirements
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Outlook
- Some knowledge of food nutrition
- Knowledge of professional kitchen environments
- One to two years high volume kitchen experience
