Job Description This position serves as the primary resource for the development of the Call-For-Projects for the Newberry Transportation Service Center (TSC) area. Program a balance of preventive maintenance and rehabilitation projects to optimize the life of the transportation system in the TSC jurisdiction. Work with Region to perform long term pavement planning for the Newberry TSC area. Utilize multiple funding templates to maximize the value of transportation projects. With the Region, develop and maintain the Region's Five Year Plan. Customer/stakeholder contact, engagement, and involvement is a requirement of this position. As the Project Manager, this position will lead/assist in all tasks associated with delivering quality plan and proposal packages with both MDOT staff and consultants, along with consultant contract administration as required. This specialist position is responsible for the coordinated effort in delivering Early Preliminary Engineering (EPE)/Scoping/Call for Projects processes with regards to the scope of work, cost, and schedule for highway projects within the MDOT funding templates. Maintaining project records, coordination for project resources (Planisware, JobNet, PI, etc.), coordinating/communicating with stakeholders, coordination with the Region Design Squad, and performing special projects and assignments related to TSC operations and maintenance are also required.
