Description
The Data & Analytics Business Development team works with Pre-sales, Sales & Account Services at higher ed institutions to establish partnerships that leverage data and insights that help customers address critical problems with Pearson products & services. The team develops and executes on Pearson's Institutional Intelligence partnership strategy to enable Pearson's long-term success. As a member of the Business Development team, the Business Development Lead works directly with executive leaders at various higher ed institutions. The role also works with multiple internal teams on a range of strategic and operational projects.
The Learning Analytics Consultant provides business-critical insights using analytics and supports cross-functional alignment of business goals and execution at higher ed accounts. A subject matter expert in data, analysis, and insights, the Consultant needs to be able to build trust and authentic relationships with C, VP, and Dean-level customers. They're able to think on-the-fly to describe simple solutions that use Pearson data and services to solve a customer's problems.

The key accountabilities for the role include:
Partner with Pre-sales, Sales & Account Services and to identify potential institutional customers as well as identify opportunities through proactive market research and on-going relationship management, various conferences, forums, and meetups.
Work with institutional leadership at all levels to develop solutions that directly align with the institution's strategic plan and unlock new business opportunities.
Create and package findings into compelling narratives supported by data that demonstrate thought-leadership to our customers and provides a line-of-sight into their largest opportunities for improvement.
Build and execute effective engagement strategies, and closing approaches with an ability to manage the institutions expectations through a deep understanding of their paint points and the relevant analytics capabilities (current & upcoming)
Function as key Pearson stakeholder in customer relationships, leading engagements to success while delivering thought leadership and strategic guidance:
Partner with Research, Analyst and Data Engineering team to effectively solve customer's problems
Communicate prior successes to a wider market audience by speaking at conferences and internal event

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
3 years of experience in consulting, corporate strategy, sales, data & analytics, infrastructure, early-stage companies, or equivalent.
Experience partnering with and advising executives. Experience with solving complex problems, utilizing tools such as Tableau, Salesforce, spreadsheet software, and SQL.
Highly self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in a management, technical or engineering field.
Strong communication skills, organizational and negotiation skills.
Strong consulting skills and demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, as a team leader and member.
Possess strong analytic skills with the ability to create, measure, and scale the right workflow between institutions, they're internal teams and Pearson.
Excellent communication skills and ability to write, facilitate and present analyses.

Note: The anticipated starting salary range for Colorado-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $110 - 127k per year. This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program.
