Identify and implement Category and Procurement strategies within business operations. Perform market and trends analyses to conduct benchmarking activities and business intelligence and partner with the procurement category managers to instill cost savings and operational improvement practices. Enhance the total Procurement value procured from the Category's supply base by driving standardization, consolidation, optimization and product substitution tactics across key procurement categories. Negotiate contracts and achieve cost savings from vendors in key categories. Strive for elevated level of Procure to Pay (P2P) and Procurement performance with desire and demonstration of capability to move into progressively advanced procurement positions. Review and approve ordering of necessary goods and services and finalize order details and deliveries. Manage and drive supplier performance and continuous improvement programs with plant and Category leaders. Review discrepancies in supplier performance and cost competitiveness, and initiate process changes to optimize costs including acquisition of new suppliers, and consolidation of spend. Manage relationships with plant stakeholders to implement P2P and Procurement strategies, while aligning with operational strategic plans. Strategize, plan and implement P2P supplier catalog improvements to support further productivity improvement and cost reductions. Engage in sustained communication and end user training initiatives to drive message of compliance. Govern an automated invoice reconciliation process for purchase orders, goods receipts, and contracts, resulting in nearly complete acceptance and accuracy. Deliver P2P sustainable business value including supply assurance, cost, quality, service and innovation to meet business needs.Responsibilities:Strategy and operational excellence•Identify sourcing requirements for plants and implement appropriate tactics that combine sharing the spares, product substitution, directing spend to preferred suppliers, reduce reliance on OEM suppliers, leveraging repair and rebuild of parts •Lead analysis of market and competitive conditions, and provide input to category managers in the formulation of strategies for indirect categories and sourcing activities•Design and implement tactical action steps to execute on indirect category and Procurement Point team strategies for the company•Manage supplier base across the Plants. Leverage plant spend across regions and globally if appropriate •Identify opportunities for consolidation of spend on company's P2P solution (Ariba), and design and implement strategies to expand the solution footprint to other categories, geographies and suppliers •Manage a curriculum of relevant supplier and co-worker training materials by developing new and/or updating existing content•Lead delivery of routine training to suppliers and co-workersNegotiations and compliance monitoring•Enhance the relationship with suppliers in an innovative way to maximise value•Select, prepare and execute commercial agreements relevant to the category indirect categories in scope, specifically spares and consumables, professional services, office supplies•Manage negotiation process, content and results in alignment with company's procurement policies•Engage with category managers on supplier pricing issues and where updates to contracts are needed as the business needs evolve•Monitor compliance of plants to company's finance, procurement and data management policies, and escalate non-compliance to appropriate finance and procurement category managers/directors for further guidance and appropriate remedial action Relationship Management•Manage relationship with key...
