Individual will be responsible for escorting patients to rooms, discussing reason for visit, obtaining the patients medical history, updating problem summary list with current medications, taking vital signs, documentation within MiChart, performing simple diagnostic tests, maintaining exam rooms at an outpatient care site.
Medical assistant will become an important member of the patients care team; working closely with faculty and nurse practitioner to meet all aspect of care. Assisting in opening and loading films for faculty review.
Ensure efficient patient flow in examination, consultation and treatment rooms. Prepare patient rooms for visit/procedures by setting up all instruments/supplies; clean examination rooms between patients. Assist with inventory, supply and stocking of exam rooms.
May also be responsible for some administrative duties.
High School diploma or GED. Certification as a Medical Assistant or graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or an equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary. EKG certified a must. Must have some neurosurgical experience. Demonstrated problem solving ability. Excellent interpersonal, communication and written skills demonstrated by previous employment references. Ability to perform well within a team. Flexibility in assignments and schedules.
M-F 8:30 - 5:00pm
