About the Role
In this role you will lead the Automotive division's talent acquisition team, and manage full lifecycle recruiting for all US based roles. You will be collaborating with business leaders in a fast-paced environment to develop innovative solutions to recruit engineers and technical talent.
Your Team
This role will have 1- 2 direct reports, and will report into the Sr. Director, HR, Automotive Division.
What You Will Do
- Responsible for full-cycle talent recruitment, and accountable for creating innovative and resourceful strategies to mine and attract the best passive/active job seekers.
- Utilize a variety of proven talent platforms and resources such as Social Media, Major Internet Job Boards, and Industry-specific blogs/discussion boards, onsite/offsite social engagement events, partnering with trusted professional networks and establishing active presence with local Colleges/Universities for alumni.
- Build strong consultative business relationships with hiring managers, business leaders and HR business partners to develop and implement appropriate recruitment and sourcing strategies for both active and passive talent, with a focus on engineering and diversity.
- Develop and implement innovative workforce planning strategies by incorporating knowledge of industry, competitive landscape, labor market, and business specific needs to build the pipeline.
- Collaborate with corporate TA leads to manage third-party vendors including external recruitment partners; supplier/job board relationships, relocation providers and ensure vendor performance metrics are met.
- Provide day-to-day guidance and supervision to optimize individual and team performance; allocate and manage workload to ensure a balanced distribution of requisitions.
- Manage team to deliver against key recruiting metrics, drive consistency and compliance of recruiting processes and tools; ensure all pertinent applicant and interview documentation and data is maintained in applicant tracking system.
- Partner with corporate leads to implement the employer brand strategies into all recruitment activity.
- Build long-term relationships with potential candidates, key industry contacts and external networks.
- Recommend and implement improvements to recruitment processes.
What You Need
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 5-7 years recruiting experience
- Proven ability to lead and develop other recruiters
- Demonstrated experience working as a consultative business advisor to internal clients
- Experience managing the recruitment process via an Applicant Tracking System
- Proven ability to utilize advanced sourcing techniques to develop candidate pipelines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to relate to and influence individuals at all levels
- In-depth knowledge of recruitment/hiring laws and practices
What is Nice to Have
- Automotive and/or Hi-Tech industry recruitment experience
- 2 years of recruiting management experience
What Makes You Eligible
- Be willing to travel up to 10%, domestic and international travel
- Be willing to work in an office in Novi, MI
- Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment
- This position requires the use of a use of a HARMAN or customer-owned vehicle. As such, any offer of employment will be contingent upon having a clean driving record, which will be evaluated and determined in HARMAN's sole discretion, no more than 4 active points for moving violations (issued by any motor vehicle agency), and no references to operating a vehicle under the influence of controlled substances within the last 10 years
