PURPOSE/SCOPE:
Leadership ofTennant Company's Holland manufacturing facility to include full ownership of manufacturing, quality, production planning, material handling, manufacturing engineering, and maintenance.Responsible for facility health including performance against SQDCC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Customer, Cost, and People Engagement) objectives.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Development and execution of robust Operations strategy for the facility including capacity planning and management, Quality program, continuous improvement journey to achieve company strategic objectives.
- Continuous improvement initiatives including the continued implementation of Lean Manufacturing and other Continuous Improvement activities (e.g. Kaizen events, Root Cause Analysis and Value Stream Mapping) to reduce waste and optimize asset management.
- Development and ownership of people strategy in partnership with Human Resources partner.Facilitate an employee experience and culture aligned with Tennant's guiding principles.Coach, develop and mentor teams driving a strong internal talent bench and high performance culture.Maintain an open door approach when working with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Develop and support a culture which values the customer, strategic thinking, collaborative decision making and a sense of urgency to drive high performance.
- Partner with New Product Development, Current Products Engineering and Strategic Supply Chain groups on product launches.
- Partner with Operations Centers of Excellence to drive best practices and strategies throughout facilities.
- Overall responsibility for financial performance and overall health of Holland Manufacturing.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
- Bachelors of Science degree in an applicable field (engineering or operations preferred)
- Advanced degree (MS, MBA) desired
- 10+ years' experience leading teams in manufacturing, materials or engineering environment
- Experience with low volume, high complexity product desired

- Demonstrated track record of success running a manufacturing facility
- Exceptional leadership skills with proven history developing a high performing team

- Experience navigating highly matrixed organizations to drive a high level of collaboration
- Ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization from shop floor to executive leaders and maintain a high level of presence and connectivity with workforce and leadership team

ENVIRONMENTAL EXPOSURES:
- Occasionally works in outside weather conditions to test products or walk between buildings. Noise level has potential of exceeding 85 dba. Hearing protection is provided
