Senior Designer 4 Location: Warren, MI/ Remote Duration: 1 year Description:
Design Commodity: Any Plastic, metal, electrical or Engine/Transmission for NX Template and CAD Analysis
Years of Experience: Open to all levels
Degree Required: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Design or another technical field preferred, but not required
- VEDO NX Template Designer will participate in developing, delivering and supporting the use of reusable, parametric, NX Templates.
- Participate in developing, delivering and supporting the use of reusable, parametric, NX Templates.
- The ideal candidate will work with members of the Product Development organization to enhance their NX model creation capabilities and co-develop NX Templates.
- Additionally, the candidate will produce and publish help documentation and provide support and mentorship for both SMT Users and Developers of NX Templates
This role will assist in moving the organization into new, higher productivity tools and processes. This will greatly assist client to 'frame' the future with tools which will increase throughput and productivity. This candidate will be working with a world class team in a culture where supporting new processes and design practices, will enable great design ideas to drive the future of the company. The role: Work with Product Design teams and area Leads to identify opportunities and estimate benefit vs development effort Work with template area leads and template administrative lead to keep project management entities in Auros up to date; project management details, development effort estimate, projected completion date, etc. Present and demonstrate solutions to all levels of personnel within Product Development community from Designers to Senior Management Develop NX templates using Template Development best practices and modeling techniques identified and developed by VEDO Share knowledge and participate in on-going efforts to identify optimum model creation techniques within VEDO Stay current with software tools (NX, TC and Vis) and design trends Participate in evaluation and testing of new software from both Siemens (NX, TC, etc.) and other software vendors Ability to work and collaborate with others inside and outside the work group As an equal opportunity employer, ICONMA prides itself on creating an employment environment that supports and encourages the abilities of all persons regardless of race, color, gender, age, sexual orientation, citizenship, or disability.
