This position will report to and work closely with the Director, Internal Audit and staff in the daily execution of the annual audit plan.
Responsibilities
- Assist the external auditors with interim, year-end, and benefit audits
- Participate in enterprise risk assessment; create, implement, and enhance risk model
- Participate in yearly audit planning and development of audit schedule
- Participate in and lead financial and operational and compliance audits
- Review and test compliance with corporate policies and procedures
- Analyze and review business process and work flow for control lapses
- Develop system queries to extract data to PC environment for analysis
- Perform ad-hoc analysis and audit work as required
- Establish and maintain standard review audit maps and audit procedures
- Work within audit process and strives to continuously improve
- Participate in the year-end inventory process
- Prepare informational reporting to senior and executive management
- Develop partnerships within the Dawn community
- Promote career development of the Internal Audit staff
- Promote strong controls within the business operations
- Participate in fraud investigations including data analysis and investigative work
- Participate in and lead various consulting engagements per management request
- Assist in the scheduling and planning of audits.
- Coach and support the junior members of the Internal Audit team.
Qualifications
- Bachelors or Master's Degree in Business - Finance/Accounting CPA or CIA required
- Minimum of 5 years practical, hands-on audit field work in highly structured audit group
- Proficiency in applying internal auditing standards, procedures, and techniques
- Manufacturing and/or Distribution operations or analyst experience, preferably in the food industry
- International business skills
- Excellent analytical skills and writing skills; succinct, clear and factual
- Maintain high level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality
- Team player, takes on appropriate role as required; lead, teacher, staff
- Adaptability, understanding, determination, and persistence
- Highly proficient in the MS Office suite
- Experience with client server environment and network environments
- Ability to travel up to 35% to US locations and internationally
- Desirable: Foreign Language skills
