A dynamic multi-state commercial and industrial painting subcontractor seeks a skilled journeyman painter with experience in both exterior and interior industrial and commercial painting, wallcoverings, and coatings.
Duties & Qualifications:
Extensive knowledge of most painting materials and applications methods. Understands quality control and material management.
Must be goal oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skills.
Ability to run crews of 5-10 people in a safe and productive manner.
Prepares, primes, sands, seals, and paints multiple surfaces utilizing all types of painting materials such as varnish, lacquer, shellac, enamel, latex, epoxy, waterproofing, and heat resistant finishes.
Responsible for cross-checking colors and confirming products supplied to match the job files.
Has hands on experience with equipment repair with the ability to recognize and repair minor issues.
Exhibits a professional demeanor and represents the company while on client job sites.
Complete required reports accurately and in a timely manner. Reports include: o Daily field reports, timecards, field production reports and time & material reports.
Understands the importance and how to complete field change orders and submittals.
Trained and capable with multi-level scaffolding, extension ladders and spray systems.
Maintains tools, equipment, and trucks assigned the employee; Always maintains a clean and safe work area.
