POSITION SUMMARY
A Systems Analyst works under general supervision having an overall broad depth of hospital and information systems technology. A person in this position can conduct a business requirement reviews, includes business and user needs, documents requirements, formulates business requirements, generates systems scope and objectives for moderately complex information systems, may make suggestions for workflow and process improvements, may modify, test and implement 3rd party software or create simple programmatic/scripted solutions, may lead small to mid-size teams on small to mid-size projects (40-80hrs) involving less-complex systems with low integration. Fully documents requirements, testing, code/script, processes and workflow. A Systems Analyst in this position is expected to guide and advise Associate Systems Analysts.
Systems Analyst - eCW Systems Analyst works in collaboration with Information Technology and clinical staff to implement and maintain the Electronic Health Record ecosystem, centered around eClinicalWorks eCW. This position will perform analysis, development, validation and maintenance of eCW and associated systems. In this position, you will interact with internal and external teams throughout multiple project phases and is charged with ensuring the services are of high quality Responsibilities: • Participate in the implementation, configuration and support of the eClinicalWorks EMR and associated systems such as online scheduling, patient messaging, patient intake and patient portal technologies. • Document standards, procedures and guidelines for the configuration and use of the eClinicalWorks EMR and associated systems. • Analyzes and implements proper application level security for the eClinicalWorks EMR. • Assists with the optimization and process improvement of the eClinicalWorks EMR • Assists in the integration of ancillary systems and biomedical devices into the eClinicalWorks EMR • Demonstrate superb communication and human relationship skills QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: Experience/Education
Must have one of the following (required):
Associate's degree (preferably IS/Business or healthcare emphasis) with 2 years' relevant experience (IS/Business or healthcare)
Bachelor's degree (preferably IS/Business or healthcare emphasis)
4 years in healthcare or IS/Business experience
Experience in Information Systems (IS) beneficial
Experience in healthcare beneficial
Technical Knowledge (required)
Working knowledge of MS Desktop products
Knowledge of Client/Server applications
General understanding of:
Common programming languages (like C++ and Java)
IT Selection and Implementation Methodology
Software development best practices
Required technical documentation including flowcharts
Interpreting vendor technical requirements
Relational database concepts
Operating Systems (such as AIX, Windows, MAC and Linux)
