SUMMARY:
The Asset Management Professional Administrative Analyst is an experienced professional that demonstrates a holistic understanding of wastewater processing and uses that understanding to support and further Wastewater Asset Management.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Support Asset Management and Maintenance customers through the application of wastewater process knowledge coupled with analytic skills and software usage.
- Use your understanding of wastewater process and data analysis to distill large amounts of complex information into formats that can easily be understood and actioned on by management.
- Actively plan and assist during the transition between different versions of Asset Management software.
- Provide wastewater process-specific support to wastewater Asset Management software users.
- Follow security and safety policies and procedures in carrying out work duties. A valid Michigan Driver License and the ability to drive a motor vehicle on all terrain. Provide on-the-job training.
RELATED JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Fluidly work in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) or asset management systems. This aspect of the work includes creating entries for new equipment, modifying existing equipment entries.
- Work one day a week in the wastewater treatment plant performing maintenance labor with revolving maintenance crews to develop an in-depth knowledge of the wastewater process, equipment covered by the Asset Management system, and challenges the maintenance staff experience.
- Analyze data to ensure that resources are being efficiently used and goals are being met. Development of new Performance Indicators as necessary for monitoring and improving Asset Management and maintenance activities.
- Perform Return on Investment calculations and other economic/business analyses for projects.

The Professional Administrative Analyst may be required to perform team coordination activities within the functional group.

- Learn to use SQL Developer => ongoing
- Use SQL Developer to enhance a Business Intelligence report => 1 Year

- Devise creative methods of presenting information and ideas to stakeholders so that problems can be communicated and resolved. => ongoing
- Be able to understand both the WRRF and CSO wastewater treatment process and provide a full-featured written overview of the entire process => 2 years
- Fluid understanding of work performed by various skilled trades => 2 Years
- How to read and interpret business & construction contracts => 2 Years
- Review construction drawings and identify Assets that will need to be created or retired in the Asset Management software. => 1.5 years
- Make recommendations on how to improve business processes => Ongoing
- Develop wastewater-specific training materials for Asset Management software processes and Business Intelligence software. => 1 Year
- Train wastewater employees to use various software using the training materials that you developed. => 1.5 Year
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (position requirements at entry)
- Bachelor’s degree: with specialization in Science, Engineering or Technology preferred
- Demonstrable proficiency in spreadsheet and word processing computer applications.
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience related to the field and/or job assignment
- Education requirements can be substituted with extensive experience, at the discretion of the Chief Executive Officer or designee.

This position requires extensive computer use and extended time seated in meetings. The ability to ascend and descent stairs, navigate uneven terrain and navigate wet surfaces. The ability to perform inspections of facility worksites, and work processes including standing, stooping, bending, and climbing ladders.
Environmental Working Requirements:
Work may be performed in the plant or office environment. Work may be performed near excessive noise and moving objects/vehicles.
