The Opportunity
EY is seeking a dynamic procurement professional who has deep subject matter expertise on Health and Insurances, Rewards and Benefits, and other large scale Talent offerings on a global basis; someone who has exciting visions for the future and would look forward to joining a global leader on our ambitious procurement journey.
This role will be to lead Talent Procurement's global Center of Excellence (COE) for Health and Insurances (Co-led), as well as an area remit for Total Rewards for North America. This role will also oversee the Rewards and Benefits COE team Lead (which is currently open).
You will report to one of the Talent and BMC Procurement Executive Leaders and will be responsible for the strategy, sourcing execution and stakeholder engagement and best practice development within the remit described herein.
We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about driving change on Total Rewards (Health and Insurances, Rewards and Benefits) and developing a thoughtful and impactful category strategy which drives the delivery of quantitative and brand value for this COE.

EY Global Procurement is a team of more than 400 procurement professionals located across 30 countries who manage an annual procurement spend of $8.1B, which is comprised of the following key category pillars:
• Travel, Meeting & Events
• Real Estate and Workplace Services
• Technology Sourcing and External Content
• Talent (External Workforce, Automotive, Recruitment, Learning & Development, Rewards & Benefits, Health & Insurance) and Brand Marketing and Communications.
The Talent pillar manages circa $1.8B of annual spend globally across 18 regions and Rewards and Benefits represent a significant portion of this.
These four categories collaborate strongly.
Responsibilities
The Health and Insurances COE Lead/ North America Total Rewards Procurement Lead plays a central role in driving long-term value for EY by:
• Developing global strategies which deliver both quantitative and brand value for all categories/sub categories for Health and Insurances, and Rewards and Benefits ranging from large scale self-insured carrier relationships, large insurance programs, to general Benefits Programs (e.g. gym membership, childcare provisions etc.) through to Mobility, Payroll Solutions, Recognition Schemes, Benefits Platforms, Pension Schemes, Occupational Health Schemes. (N.B. - it does not include car schemes nor certain types of insurance) which sit in other COEs. However, a good working knowledge of these categories would be beneficial as there is a lot of cross COE collaboration).
• This role has approx. five direct reports (combination of FTE and Contractors)
• Defining and leading the CoE's purpose and developing its value proposition.
• Building and maintaining the COE Team of (matrix network members).
• Delivering selected strategic global sourcing projects end to end.
• Leading complex Request for Proposals (RFPs) including strong commercial contractual negotiations, while partnering with stakeholders and shared functions such as GCO, Risk Management and Vendor Assurance.
• Working collaboratively with the wider regional EY Talent Procurement teams to deliver projects in regions where they may not have coverage or when specific category expertise is required.
• Leading the Supplier Relationship Management program for key Rewards and Benefits vendors to build stronger relationships and deliver supplier-enabled innovation.
• Sharing global knowledge, commercial insights, industry information, best practice and benchmarks with regional sourcing teams.
• Acting as trusted business advisor to EY business stakeholders (to Director/Partner level) providing Exceptional Customer Service.
• Creating an effective internal and external network for Rewards and Benefits by:
o Actively participating in relevant industry discussions, uses data intelligence and exchanges best practice with peers in non-competing industries.
o Working closely with other business partners including Risk Management, Legal (GCO), Global Client Serving Partners, Sector Leaders, etc. on a regular basis.
• Adhering to EY policies and processes to minimise risk.
• Educating EY staff and stakeholders on the EY Global Procurement Policy and associated processes.
• Providing proactive, structured management communications and accurate progress reporting on Rewards and Benefits projects and accurate monthly reporting.
Knowledge and skills requirements:
• Proven track record of leading complex Procurement activities, including multi-regional or global projects.
• Strong leadership skills to drive the long-term value of the Health & Insurances, and Rewards & Benefits COE across EY Global Talent
• Excellent commercial skills and business acumen.
• Good team player with intercultural skills, but also able to act autonomously.
• High level of cultural awareness and EQ.
• Able to align with key senior stakeholders and influence these leaders as necessary but able to maintain a robust stance when required.
• Global mindset.
• Experience of Source to Pay ("S2P") processes including managing sourcing projects on Oracle or SAP system, including the execution of online Rfx and e-Auctions.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to present to senior stakeholders.
• Energetic, innovative and self-motivated.
• Strong Business English.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
Job requirements:
Education:
• Business degree
• CPSM qualification (US), CIPS qualification (UK) or similar local qualifications is desirable
Experience:
• Approximately 7 years of experience in Talent/HR focused procurement and deep subject matter expertise in Rewards & Benefits on a global scale.
• Strong leadership, analytical skills, and negotiation skills to better provide procurement support to regional stakeholders.
• Understand regional strategic trends in the Rewards & Benefits industry.
• Strong background in procurement and the supporting tools, metrics and best practices.
• Experience of working in global and complex organizations with different cultures.
• Experience of working independently in virtual teams
