What does a great solution architect do for Fiserv?
The API Standards and Governance team is comprised of seasoned architects and engineers, whose mission is to provide thought leadership, drive technology direction across the company and ultimately help product groups produce high quality software, delivered on-time and on-budget, to solve business requirements now and into the future.
We are seeking an experienced software engineer or architect with proven accomplishments in API development. The candidate will augment these accomplishments with experience in developing and implementing strategic APIs to promote our Open Banking initiatives. The ideal candidate will also have experience working in multiple Fiserv products, and be able to rapidly assess varying architectures and API strategies.
In this role, you can look forward to:
•Developing new data models and corresponding APIs
•Developing Streaming events that reflect data model changes
•Publishing new standards for Fiserv's Open Banking initiatives
•Working across Fiserv teams to identify and describe standards
•Working closely with other architecture professionals with diverse backgrounds
Basic Qualifications for Consideration:
•Bachelor's degree or high school diploma/GED
Minimum of five years of solutions architect experience
Minimum of two year as an analyst
Minimum of five years designing core system applications
Minimum of five years designing and architecture to secure and safe interface requirements
Preferred Qualifications for Consideration:
•Experience with API development and tools such as SwaggerHub
•Experience in streaming technologies, such as Kafka
•Use of Jira, Confluence or Azure Dev Ops for collaboration
•Able to communicate complex, technical concepts to non-technical associates and clients
•Ability to establish relationships within all levels of the Company
•Strong interpersonal and consultative skills
•Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
•Exceptional verbal and written communications skills using Microsoft tools, including Visio
•Experience in containerization tools such as Kubernetes a plus
•Use of Tanzu, Azure, AWS or GCP or other cloud providers a plus
