Job Summary
Develops, coordinates and participates in the recruitment, training and licensing of foster care homes for children within the community and in accordance with all applicable contractual and regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
Establish and maintain a current contact file with recruitment sources, prospective foster homes data files and mailing lists.
Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with religious/community groups and key individuals to increase awareness of the need for foster parents and other services offered by the organization.
Devise, implement and evaluate strategies and recruitment plans to ensure adequate foster homes in accordance with program, organization and contractual requirements and standards.
Monitor and evaluate recruitment strategies effectiveness. Compile statistical data related to service delivery outcomes and measurements and provide reports and data as requested.
Plan and attend recruitment events and activities. Respond to calls from interested parties.
Initiate follow up with prospective foster homes that were identified from recruitment activities.
Plan and conduct regular orientation meetings and pre-service training sessions with prospective foster parents.
Complete initial home study process for all new foster family applicants, achieving expected timeframes.
Plan and participate in foster family retention activities and events to acknowledge and support foster parents.
Job Qualifications
Education, Training, and Licensure/Certification
- Bachelor's degree in a social work or related field.
Experience
- Experience in child welfare and foster care services preferred.
