During training,this position will work8am-5pm Monday - Friday.
Once training is complete, this position will follow a2-week rotating schedule as outlined below:
First week: Monday 2:00pm to 12:30am, Tuesday 2:00pm to 12:30am, Saturday 12:00am to 12:30am
Second week: Sunday 12:00pm to 12:30am, Wednesday 4:00pm to 12:30am, Thursday 2:00pm to 12:30am,Friday 2:00pm to 12:30am
TheAssociate Systems Operations Analystwill monitor and respond to on-going daily operations performance and availability. Control production operational integrity and reliability for all critical systems, with particular emphasis to systems that pertain to business continuity.
Day-to-Day Role:
- Ensure operational integrity and performance along with resource availability and reliability
- Respond to incidents that affect server infrastructure and applications within the Cloud and on premise solutions, escalating internally or to third-party vendors as required
- Recognize, identify, and prioritize incidents in accordance with organizational policies and operational impact
- Monitor a wide variety of information and network systems that include LAN/WAN systems, routers, switches, servers, storage, backup, operating systems, and core applications
- Support multiple technical teams in 24x7 operational environments with high uptime requirements
- Analyze and determine source of system errors, malfunctions, job stoppages, and program information to ensure that operation standards are met and upheld
- Maintain departmental processes, procedures and provide recommendations for improvements
- Operate and maintain peripheral equipment, including tape drives, printers and consoles
- Track, route and redirect issues and queries to correct resources
- Execute and verify successful completion of processes as scheduled; document and follow up on abnormal job executions
- Maintain Production Impact Logs (PIL) for reporting and analysis
- Execute and document electronic transfer functions and processing detail
- Ensure back-up media is transferred to the appropriate off-site location
- Support end users through telephone support
- Respond to computer systems questions, issues and problems from corporate and remote system customers related to hardware and system software
- Create Service Desk tickets for all support calls
- Perform PC imaging and configuration
Core Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) years of computer support experience
- One (1) year of experience working with PCs and peripherals
- One (1) year of experience working with help desk ticketing systems and service desk management tools
- Ability to work independently all shifts and days of the week
- Ability to collaborate with team members
- Strong customer communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with customers and technical personnel in high-stress situations
- Ability to travel up to 5% domestically
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license
- Requires a favorable motor vehicle report upon hire
- Availability to be on call 24/7as needed
