GENERAL SUMMARY:
This position is a Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner in Hospital Medicine/Rapid Response. The APP provides Admissions Services for Medical/Surgical, PCU and ICU patients, including history /physical, admission orders, coordinating care, ordering tests and therapeutic measures, and providing patient and family education. Under the supervision of the House Physician participates in the Rapid Response Team which requires evaluation/stabilization of the acutely ill patient. STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS
- Education / Training:
- Masters Degree in PA studies OR a Masters Degree in Nursing
- Work Experience:
- APP experience preferred; New graduates considered
- Certification, Licensure, Registration:
- NCCPA/ANCC or equivalent, required
- State of Michigan PA/NP license, required
- AHA/ARC BLS certification, required
This position is 12-hour midnights 6pm-6:30am. Every third weekend.
