Robert Half OfficeTeam has an exciting job opportunity for a National Client of ours located in Southfield. We are seeking an Account Manager who can handle Full-Cycle communication with a variety of different clients/customers throughout the Global Freight Process. The Account Manager would have a strong background in Customer Service and Logistics. If the Account Manager had prior knowledge of Global Freight that would be a plus!
The Account Manager will need to understand the processes, documentation, and terminology involved in International Shipping from time of purchase order issuance through the delivery of the cargo. Apply industry knowledge and critical thinking to adapt processes and to create solutions in response to challenges both internally and externally. The Account Manager will coordinate tasks on the shipments to meet all customer SOP requirements such as booking approvals, processing pre-alerts, governmental filings, executing delivery, ensuring proper invoicing, etc. The Account Manager will collaborate with our international team members and third-party agents to ensure efficiency, excellent customer service and creative problem resolution. You will be expected to build great relationships with customers, responding timely and following up on issue resolution. As the Account Manager, you will also provide reporting and documentation support to internal and external customers and participate in customer business reviews. This is a contract to full-time opportunity for the right individual!
Requirements
Account Manager Qualifications:
1+ years of experience

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs

Proven track record of strong customer service skills, interacting with customers and being
client focused
Excellent follow up with customers and the network

customer needs
High level of attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
Bachelor's degree is highly preferred?
