How will you make an impact?
The Sr. Supply Chain Manager for AMER oversees and manages overall end to end supply chain and logistics in the AMER region, including order fulfillment, distribution, inventory, logistics, materials management, and operations process coordination and improvement in the business unit. This position will be responsible for developing and driving initiatives which enable the business unit to meet service levels and availability to end customers, while achieving cost and inventory objectives.
This position requires a close working relationship and collaboration with sales and operations leaders in Europe, N.A. and Asia, Global Trade Compliance, strategic sourcing, customer service, quality, and both internal & external suppliers. This is a collaborative role which will work closely with colleagues across the business & globe to influence actions and jointly optimize cost, order flow and product availability.
Measures of success include Customer Service Reliability (KPI: On-Time Delivery / On-Time, In-Full), Asset Management Efficiency (KPI: Inventory DOS / Turns), Supply Chain Responsiveness (KPI: Order Fulfillment Cycle Time), and Cost to Serve (KPI: Total Supply Chain Management Cost).
What will you do?
Develop and facilitate implementation of world-class supply chain operations practices and procedures within the business unit and support roll-out throughout the AMER region.
Lead projects and actions to successfully focus region supply chain and ensure optimal quality, delivery and cost while meeting targeted customer service levels.
Drive regional/tactical SIOP, including sales forecasting & demand planning and coordination with regional planners, sites and sales offices to align local inventory execution and ensure SIOP Plans are executed.
Collaborate with Epredia commercial teams and channel partners to plan inventory and cost to meet revenue (growth) and EBITDA (operating margin expansion) targets.
Communicate, influence and interact with broad functional areas to develop and execute plans to achieve annual operating plan (AOP) goals.
Develop and deploy supply chain policies, including stocking policy, inventory control, master data, returns and reverse logistics, order promising (ATP), lead times, OS&D, freight policy, etc.
Develop and deploy Material/Inventory Management best practices including Plan for Every Part (PFEP), ABC Analysis, Segmentation, Purchasing Methods (PO, Blanket, etc.), Warehouse Management (Cycle Count Accuracy, Transactions, Bar Coding, RFID) and Advance Replenishment Methods (MRP, Stocking Programs, VMI, Consignment, Re-Order Point, Kan-Ban and Direct Pull).
Develop and deploy purchasing best practices in conjunction with the Strategic Global Sourcing team to reduce lead times and supply variation, optimize stock levels and improve material margins through Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) model.
Collaborate with operations sites, other supply chain functions and business units, developing and deploying materials management, logistics and distribution strategies, and driving key process improvement projects across areas of order fulfillment, inventory, warehousing, transportation, order management, and operations process coordination and improvement.
Develop and monitor key performance metrics for all areas within the Supply Chain organization to identify trends and areas to drive improvements (with leading indicators), including: On-Time Delivery (OTD), Inventory Days of Supply (DOS/Turns), Supplier Lead Time Adherence, and Cost to Serve.
Key member of all new product introduction (NPI) projects and coordinating all supply chain efforts for product launch.
Coach and mentor Supply Chain teams to improve engagement with local technical/commercial stakeholders and to establish communication channels between the cross functional teams.
Lead supply chain continuous improvement (CI) activities for the business unit in AMER, utilizing PHC Business Systems (Lean methodologies).
Perform other duties as required.
How will you get there?
A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in business or other analytical discipline or significant years of supply chain experience is required.
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills in English language.
Experience in a multi-national organization, preferably in a med-tech, healthcare, life sciences, or other high-tech progressive, regulated manufacturing environment.
Experience managing an end to end supply chain
Experience working in or directly managing an S&OP process, Integrated Business Planning and/or other collaborative planning processes.
Strong proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and tools with preferred candidate being involved in a system implementation.
SAP experience would be a strong asset.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively while driving high impact and positive results
Ability to work well in a global organization.
Experience with a continuous improvement methodology (e.g., LEAN, Six Sigma).
Ability to work independently, typically initiating own tasks with input/guidance from manager.
Ability to thrive in a matrix and cross-functional team environment to create buy in and implement processes
Sound knowledge of supply chain, logistics, materials management, inventory planning, order fulfillment, import/export, distribution and transportation.?
Proficiency in global logistics processes including order fulfillment, transportation, warehouse operations, and customs, for hazardous goods and both ambient & cold chain products
