Mid-Level Corporate/M&A Associate - Detroit
Foley & Lardner is seeking an associate with 4 - 8 years of experience to join the Transactions Practice Group in its Detroit office. Foley's Transactions Practice Group is integrated nationally and principally handles M&A and securities matters for publicly and privately held middle market/upper middle market companies, private equity funds, family offices and others. As a result, this position will involve working on US and international transactions with Foley lawyers in Detroit, as well as various other Foley offices.Qualified candidates must have extensive M&A/transactional experience in addition to general corporate and contract counseling experience. The ideal candidate also will have sophisticated document drafting skill, a desire to train and mentor younger associates, and the ability to manage transactions and complex projects and act as either a first or second chair on M&A transactions. The candidate must be comfortable with direct interaction with both senior partners and clients and have a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and an exceptional work ethic, coupled with a desire to be part of a fast-paced, growing and collaborative environment.To be considered, a candidate must hold a JD from an ABA-approved law school and must be in good standing and an active member of the bar of the state in which the candidate is admitted to practice.
