General Summary
This individual will provide direct assistance to the members of Electric Asset Strategy. Electric Asset Strategy is responsible for the evaluation, selection and prioritization of the programs and projects that establish the Long-Term Finacial Plan for Generation and Distribution. This idividutal will perform benefit-cost analysis, maintain Long-Term Financial Plans within the Business Planning System and assemble reports. This individual will be well versed in the typical Microsoft Based applications, along with Power BI and SharePoint. They will have good communication skills, both oral and written as they will also be forward facing to our internal customers.

- Provide regulatory process support through testimony and exhibit development as well as audit / discovery responses.

Requirements/Qualifications
At least 3 years of applicable experience and a Bachelor's degree in an applicable field.
Prefer Degree in Engineering, Technology, Business Accounting, Mathematics or equivalent related working experience.
Experience in lieu of education will be considered (11 years)
Position will be filled at the appropriate salary grade based upon the skills, knowledge, and experience of the selected candidate.
This position is remote within the state of Michigan
Essential Functions
- Assisting Asset Managers in developing and integrating processes to ensure that resources are optimized to support the corporate business plan. When emergent (in year) changes are needed, assist in development of mitigation strategies to reduce operational risk while optimizing customer value.
- Ensuring the development of cost-benefit models to meet the overall company goals.
- Ownership of the entry, modification and reporting of the Business Planning System (BPS) data for Programs/Projects for Distribution and Generation.
- Support of current year spending plan including Flex List and Change Log activities.
- Assisting in the development of Long Term Plan and related Scenarios to support Integrated Resource Planning (IRP) and Electric Distribution Infrastructure Investment Plan (EDIIP).
- Supports the Electric Rate Case, Power Supply Cost Recovery (PSCR) Plan and Reconciliation Cases, and the five- year IRP and assists in the development of witness testimony for stated cases.
- This position will be part of further developing and implementing LEAN principles through the CE Way 4 basic plays in an organization looking to become much more mature in this area, and accelerate the pace of these initiatives.
- A candidate in this role should be able to perform complex project payback evaluation (NPV, IRR) analysis and have the ability to challenge input assumptions and test various scenarios and sensitivities.
- Proficiency in MS excel and navigating various database applications and web-based applications (Power BI, SharePoint, BPS or similar) are required skills in this role.
Hours and Travel
Time will be spent in the office locations orspecific headquarters. The positionwill require the ability to travel to between field locations. This position may require night and weekend/holiday timeframes.
