What We're Looking For
Provides coordination of project execution and control, in a given discipline area, to achieve continuity of purpose within scope, budget, and time schedules from initial start-up through project closeout. Also accountable for handling specific design aspects on projects appropriate to discipline field. Coordinates efforts of assigned design team to ensure completeness and accuracy of design effort. Serves as technical liaison with client on project efforts.
Primary Focus Will Include:
Develops plans, details, specifications, and cost estimates for traffic engineering projects (e.g., maintenance of traffic, signing, pavement marking, traffic signal).
Lead traffic design tasks under multi-disciplined projects.
Coaching and mentoring of project team members.
Participate in strategic planning and business development activities to support achievement of growth goals.
Meet schedule milestones, budget constraints and quality benchmarks on assigned projects.
Coordinates with clients to define work programs and budgets, provide leadership in project planning and strategy including general oversight and planning, project management, project implementation, and ensuring quality of work products.
Support the pursuit of traffic engineering projects.
Support the planning, design and construction phases of project.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
Licensed Michigan Professional Engineer (P.E.) or the ability to obtain within the next six months
Experience working with the Michigan Department of Transportation
Experience managing and delivering traffic design projects
Experience with staff oversight
