Quality Engineer Coordinator
Job Description Summary
you will be responsible for maintaining the quality assurance function to assure all quality systems meet requirements of TS16949. In addition you would be responsible for directly working with and mentoring a trained technical staff as you maintain the Quality Assurance Program from incoming materials through finished goods inventory. *Work with Quality Manager and Quality Engineer(s) to establish training concerning quality techniques; Train associates and quality inspectors as needed. Maintain relationship of mutual trust and respect with associates and customers. Work with Quality Manager and Quality Engineer(s) to correct customer complaints in a timely manner. Train and develop subordinates to improve quality of work. Assist Quality Engineer(s) in collecting, analyzing, reporting and monitoring quality performance in areas of rejects, scrap, rework, vendor performance. Be an active participant in problem solving team(s).
Job Description
As the Quality Coordinator you will assist the QM in the following activities to ensure the progression of the Quality Department as well as to meet all of our customer requirements. The list of duties provided is in no way all encompassing the scope of the job.
- Provide required leadership of the Quality Assurance function and give guidance to the Quality Assurance personnel
- Ensure full representation of quality requirements and policy in daily plant operational decisions and activities
- Direct and monitor the Quality Assurance Program from incoming materials through finished goods inventory including adjustments; This includes ownership of many plant SOPs and work instructions
- Establish training concerning quality techniques
- Develop relationships with customers and suppliers
- Set objectives and drive improvements of the quality operating system
- Develop a relationship of mutual trust and respect with associates and customers
- Manage effective corrective actions concerning warranty claims
- Ensure that customer complaints are corrected in a timely manner and that open corrective action assignments are viewed weekly in an 8D review
- Train and develop subordinates to improve quality of work; Ensure that annual associate performance reviews are completed on time

Required Skills and Education
BS Engineering or Quality with 5 years experience in quality management systems and supervision. Combination of education and experience.
