Overview
The Treatment Coordinator is responsible for administering services and overseeing activities in the facility; serving as a role model and advocate for consumers receiving services. The Treatment Coordinator is responsible for completing admissions and discharges, maintaining a therapeutic environment, providing assistance and carrying out treatment plans designed to promote maximum development of each consumer's capabilities.

Responsibilities
• Completes admissions for incoming individuals, assessing client needs, interests, and capabilities• Manage environment in a therapeutic and treatment-oriented manner at all times• Provide basic assistance to clients• Communicate with other departments as necessary to facilitate treatment for consumers• Complete discharges for individuals exiting the program• Develop therapeutic activity programs meant to meet the mental, physical, or social needs of a specific population• Coordinate and promote group and individual activities• Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• High school diploma, GED; or an equivalent combination of education and professional work experience• MCBAP, Certified Recovery Coach or Medical Assistant (preferred)• 2 years of experience in substance use disorder treatment, mental health, or related field (preferred)
• Learn and adhere to The Salvation Army Social Services Code of Ethics• Adhere to professional codes of ethics• Understand and adhere to professional boundaries within and outside of the organization• Maintain client confidentiality and obtain appropriate releases of information• Demonstrate a continued effort to increase self-awareness and to better understand other cultures and issues of social justice, and promote racial understanding and reconciliation
