Description
Works under the direction of the Senior Director of Hospitality Services, but with minimal direct supervision, to transport materials (clean and soiled linen, medications, supplies, etc.) between required locations in a safe, lawful and effective manner using organizational vehicles.
Responsibilities:
Picks up lab specimens from external customers and occasionally returns specimens to them.
Follows regulatory standards when handling/transporting hazardous materials.
Drives the organization's vehicles in a safe and lawful manner; maintains vehicles by assuring cleanliness, scheduled maintenance and identifying/communicating potential mechanical problems.
Collaborates with other Colleagues to acquire and distribute materials and supplies to required locations at appropriate times.
Delivers to, and retrieves clean linens from, external customers.
Qualifications
Required:
- Valid Driver's license with excellent driving record necessary. Medical card required per DOT requirements, if driving qualified vehicles, and Chauffer's license in order to drive company vehicles required.
Preferred:
- Previous commercial or institutional driving experience.
