The Charles and Virginia Hickman Hospital will give our community its first-ever wellness destination. Our families and friends will have improved access to nutrition education, exercise resources and state-of-the-art care like they never have before. We offer over 200,000 square feet and has 58 acute cate beds in our new state-of-the-art regional hospital. Our campus also features an organic farm with access to nutrition, education and therapies. Under the direction of a registered nurse, performs various patient care activities necessary in caring for patient or a group of patients. Performs clerical and receptionist duties as required.
Required Qualifications:
Education: High school graduate or equivalent. EMT Specialist or 2nd year nursing student or CNA.Skills: Ability to read, write, and speak the English language. Must have excellent communication skills and telephone etiquette. Ability to perform basic math and must have basic computer skills. Ability to deal effectively with a changing environment and be open to new ideas. Ability to function quickly in stressful situations. Must have medical terminology and the ability to operate diagnostic equipment. Years of Experience: Minimal one year experience in an acute care setting delivering patient care. License: Must be a Notary in the State of Michigan (OB only).Certification: BLS, NVCI, NRP (OB only)Preferred Qualifications:Education: One year of college education in the healthcare field.Skills: IV/Phlebotomy skills, basic telemetry, ability to use safe patient handling equipmentYears of Experience: 2 years of experience in an acute care setting providing patient care.License: NACertification: NA
