What You Will Do
Provide services to patients under direct supervision.
Prepare and position patients and select exposure factors accurately.
Implement radiation protection and safety standards.
Prepare for and assist the supervising technologists and physicians in a variety of imagingprocedures.
Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within accepted scope of practice and applicablestate and federal regulations.
Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storageareas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department.
What You Will Need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date orjob transfer date required. American Red Cross (ARC) CPR for Professional Rescuers card will be accepted uponhire but renewal must be a BLS Provider card from AHA.
Education:
- High school diploma/GED required. Enrolled in degree program specific to discipline.
