What you'll be able to do:
Develop lite testing cost estimates for introduction of connectivity features into plant production for Job1 and added starters.
Develop financial planning estimates for Over-the-Air introduction of software at the plant and surrounding areas as well as in dealerships for pre-sale software updates.
Lead discussions with vehicle program teams and plant managers for EQI funding allocations for added starter introductions.
Assess plant change-over points for post Job1 introduction of features for each plant by MY/Program and incorporate into overall plans.
Partner across multiple vehicle programs through coordination with cross-functional teams in Product Development, Vehicle Operations, IT, Sales and Service and Ford Partners.
Partner with Vehicle Programs, Component Design & Release Engineers, Product Owners / Managers, Program Managers and Functional Leads on release scope, timing requirements and constraints for connected feature rollout.
Actively manage cross-functional program teams thru regular meetings, agenda and status reports. Communicate program status, issues and risks to respective program stakeholders.
The minimum requirements we seek:
Bachelor of Engineering, Science, Technology, or Mathematics
5+ years working in manufacturing and strong foundation on plant operations.
3+ years of experience dealing with Vehicle Line Directors, Chief Nameplate Engineers and Launch Managers to develop quality budgets.
3+ years of experience in product development and business case development.
Our preferred requirements:
Master's degree in engineering or finance required. MBA preferred
Strong communications skills with the ability to effectively liaison between multiple cross functional managers.
Thorough understanding of GPDS methodologies for engineering design and development
Strong analytical and interpersonal skills; team oriented; Self-starter and highly motivated; Uses sound business judgment and exhibits leadership qualities.
Strong written and oral skills - able to clearly convey complex blends of business and technical matters to a range of audiences.
Creative in quickly developing approaches to problems and recommending actions to management, including implementation of suggested recommendations.
