GENERAL FUNCTION:
The Bill Payment Product Owner pushes boundaries to introduce innovative payments solutions and is responsible for collaborating with line of business, technology, design, and analytic partners to drive new payment features from ideation through production release within an Agile environment.
Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for clients and colleagues, and ensuring that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Guide cross-functional product team through the implementation of product roadmap deliverables, capabilities, and adoption, supporting business outcomes.
Lead a robust, continuous backlog prioritization process to maximize total value, risk mitigation, and other business benefits
Drive key outcomes to drive new revenue growth, optimize the client experience and support regulatory & compliance needs
Act as a change agent for technologies and supporting processes, driving an agile mindset across product teams.
Staying informed on new technologies and pushing boundaries to introduce new and innovative payment solutions to build trust and exceed customer expectations and outcomes.
Provide transparency and ongoing communications with line of business partners/key stakeholders.
Solve problems and make decisions in support of the team, with a focus on driving the greatest outcome for the product and the Bank.
Maintain and provide product information to users and partners for training and other documentation.
Establish annual goals, objectives and outcomes for product(s); track and monitor key performance indicators.
Actively monitor industry trends; participate in industry forums, professional associations, conferences, etc.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
2-6 years of experience developing bill payment or account receivable solutions
Knowledgeable in Consumer Products and methods used to bill customers for services
Experience working with payment platforms and ACH strongly preferred
Experience migrating products from waterfall to Agile preferred
Familiarity in APIs desired
Proven ability to deliver results in a matrixed working environment
Demonstrated success in strategic development and program execution
Solid product management background preferred
Strong consultative and well-articulated communication and writing skills with the ability to interact and influence at all levels of the organization
Business acumen and understanding of business processes related to your product and customers
Inclusive leadership skills with ability to promote a work environment that fosters creative thinking and innovation
Willingness to try new things and challenge the status quo
Strong analytical skills with ability to work through complex concepts/data and present well thought-out, simple solutions
