Job Summary
This position works in a collaborative team dedicated to supporting the sales growth of small employer group (with 2-50 employees) statewide through direct contact with employers and insurance agents to ensure Priority Health achieves its overall membership, new business, retention and financial goals. This is achieved by responding to employer and agent inbound calls, responding to emails, and collaborating with internal departments to meet these customer needs. Consults and educates on benefits of PH medical plans to current and prospective employers, members, and agents.
Essential Functions
Responds to inbound phone calls from agents, employer groups, and internal customers.
Responsible for education to agent community regarding Priority Health's small group benefit plans including participation rules, enrollment and sales processes, product information, competitive differences and the value proposition of Priority Health. Sell to brand new PH groups.
Utilizes appropriate software to ensure that accurate and complete information has been received from employer groups with new and renewal group paperwork submissions. Audits both new and existing small group to determine group and member eligibility.
Daily management of job responsibilities utilizing Salesforce and OnBase, responding to emails, inquiries from other departments, new business and renewal submissions. Attend and participate in weekly staff meeting to strategize and discuss process improvements and pertinent issues regarding small group new business and renewal sales activity.
Actively involved in all prospective and renewal opportunities, including identifying, quoting, enrolling new sales and renewing existing groups. Coordinate and accurately process the workflow of the pre-renewal certification process and renewal process for all renewing Small Business groups.
Help identify opportunities with external team for upcoming open enrollment presentations and external sales and educational meetings to agents and employer groups as needed.
Abide by departmental standards for excellent phone service in the Small Business call center, including timely problem resolution to employer groups and agents. Communicate effectively with internal departments to gather information, answer questions and promptly resolve issues identified by employers or agents.
Responsible for meeting or exceeding annual targeted new business and retention goals.

Required High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Associate's Degree
2 years of relevant experience Required
2 years of relevant experience in heath insurance industry Preferred
2 years of relevant experience in customer service or sales Preferred
LIC-Michigan Health & Life Insurance License - STATE_MI State of Michigan
