Bookkeeper
A busy landscaping company in Grand Haven is looking for a full time Bookkeeper to join their family owned business. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial reporting, payroll, cost analysis, calendar management, office administration and additional miscellaneous tasks asked of them. Experience with QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel is required. Prior experience in the landscaping industry is a plus! What you get to do every day
Produce statements and reports that require utilization of a wide range of sources
General accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects
Work with Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing
Codify documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes
Harmonize discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required
Broadcast financial information to journals and ledgers
Contribute to Accounts Receivable: help with collection of past due balance, process daily invoices/credit, and apply cash receipt
Requirements
Excellent data entry skills
Practical knowledge of Office Administration
Earlier work involving Microsoft Office Suites
Well-founded grasp of Full Cycle Payroll
Command of QuickBooks Pro
Quality experience with ADP Financial Services
QuickBooks experience
Proven knowledge of financial reporting
General familiarity with Calendar Management
Strong familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP)
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience preferred
Wide ranging experience with Microsoft Excel
Cost analysis experience highly desired
Ability to multitask, collaborate and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds in a fast-paced environment
Prior knowledge in Spreadsheet and ERP system
AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
