SUMMARY
Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital is currently seeking applicants to fill standby positions in order to respond to the current Covid-19 Pandemic. Individuals will be cross trained to fill multiple roles and will be expected to float to different departments as needed. The position is a temporary, non-benefitted, hourly role.
Positions to be filled by the Labor Pool Utility Workers will be in the following areas in high demand:
Environmental Services - Cleaning and disinfecting high touch service areas
Central Transport - Assisting with moving patients through the facility
Screener - Providing proper screening at entrance points to the facility
Clerical Assistance - Providing customer service/clerical assistance
Patient Attendant - Ability to provide patient care assistance and serve as a safety companion
Logistics - Assistance with transporting items throughout the facility
Other positions as identified by our needs
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent required
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills required
Excellent oral and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people
Able to wear protective medical gear to ensure safety
Ability to adjust to changing assignments and roles
Healthcare experience preferred, but not required
ORGANIZATION
Will report directly to the Labor Pool Manager, will be deployed as needed. May receive functional supervision and instructions from onsite leads. Must be self-directed, motivated and able to work independently.
