The Intervention Radiology Technologist operates under general supervision of an interventional radiologist, and will utilize a combination of training, assessment and technical skills in the accomplishment of their duties in the Interventional lab. In this role, you must be able to produce and evaluate data, information, and images used by the IR physician to render medical diagnosis or perform an interventional procedure.This position requires the technologist to assist the IR clinician in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures utilizing image-guided technique, sterile technique, and radiographic technique. This position will perform work in Intervention Radiology along with Diagnostic X-ray.
Shift: Monday- Friday from 8:30 AM- 5:00 PM; including rotating on-call
- Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program required
- One year of imaging experience required: X-ray, CT, MRI or IR
- One year experience in IR preferred
- One year experience in MR or CT preferred
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists-(ARRT) RT(R)
- Must obtain VI specialty registration from ARRT within 24 months of start date, (ARRT) RT(R), (VI)
- BLS certification
- PALS certification within 12 months of start date
- Certification in MR or CT preferred
