The Opportunity:We are seeking Assistant Branch Managers in the Metro Detroit and Ann Arbor areas to join the DFCU Financial team. This role will make decisions based on in-depth knowledge of DFCU Financial policies and procedures. Demonstrate skill in planning, directing and coordinating workflow of branch operations. Effectively manage employee through coaching and discipline.
What You'll Do:
- Assist Manager with all branch operations. Responsible for branch operation and supervision of all branch staff in the absence of the branch manager.
- Schedule cash and platform staff for efficient branch coverage.
- Coach and develop branch staff to achieve sales and service performance goals.
- Perform the duties of vault custodian, as required.
- Interpret and act on information in management reports.
- Suggest and promote creative ideas to increase sales productivity.
- Design and promote activities to increase branch profitability.
- Contribute to branch sales goals.
- Use membership data to proactively offer additional products and services to members.
- Provide membership, loan and cash services.
- Maintain knowledge of credit union consumer loan policies and procedures.
- Oversee the complete loan process within the branch.
- Ensure compliance with credit union procedures.
- Effectively communicate changes in policy and procedure.
- Make exceptions to policy and procedures when necessary.
- Resolve member disputes and defuse possible conflict.
- Write and administer performance reviews.
- Perform onboarding and training to new Tellers.
- Provide notary and medallion signature guarantee services.
What You Need:- Bachelor degree in a business related field, preferred.
- Three years current experience in a sales position in a financial environment.
- Three years current experience supervising employees.
- Demonstrated ability to function as a team leader.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively coach staff and achieve performance goals.
- Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task.
- Computer literate.
- Consistent positive, cooperative, self-motivated, courteous and professional attitude.
- Ability to verbally communicate appropriately with others, and appropriately respond to a supervisor.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including effective verbal and written communication.
- Ability and willingness to work in any of our branches.
- Saturday hours required.
