Job Description
The role of Technical operations engineer, will provide data, analyze information in support of next generation system releases and improvement to overall driver and passenger experiences. Primary role will include analyzing defects that are related with engineering and customer vehicles in root causing the issue, establishing metrics and monitors ensuring optimal performance. This role is technical and requires deep understanding of modern system/application interaction in a high energy and fast changing environment.
The person in this role will work cross-functionally and globally collaborating with business/product owners, IT development and operations, engineering, and call center teams to ensure the flawless delivery of connected services. The ideal candidate will also have a strong understanding of databases and possess analytical as well as proven problem-solving abilities.
JOB DUTIES:
* Leads and generates technical solutions including specifying of requirements, functional decomposition, analysis, development and testing for current, new and major programs
* Lead development of software system team design content and software anomaly corrections.
* Performs complex design analysis
* Specifies and balances system requirements
* Provide, communicate, and support common best practices among software community
* Performs as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for at least one platform or application component
Additional Job Description
Required Skills and Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or other related field, or equivalent experience.
* Advanced proficiency in interacting with relational databases in Oracle as well as writing and analyzing SQL
* Experience in Big Data ecosystem, preferable Hadoop
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills
* Demonstrated ability to organize and correlate big data sets from various data sources for an in-depth domain analysis.
Preferred:
* Knowledge of OnStar Systems and Databases
* Experience integrating various data sources with business intelligence solutions, preferably Power BI
* High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
