Job Description
Responsibilities:
* Manage GCA auditors as well as their training according to the Global GCA requirements
* Facilitate daily GCA Meetings
* Develop and implement alarm and escalation procedures and quality communications when customer dissatisfiers are identified during inspection activities.
* Manages Training for GCA auditors according to Global GCA requirements.
* Supports yard hold and release activities for the plant (Quality, Supplier, Engineering Holds) ensuring that suspect units are contained, inspected, repaired and released in a timely fashion.
* Support QA functions and perform audits that ensure plant compliance to our PCPs, GRAs, and other quality requirements.
* Develop and Manage Level 4/5 BPD board according to BIQ4 objectives and the Quality Level 2/3 Business Plan.
* Build and maintain good working relationships with employees, union and management.
* Understands and consistently administer the National and Local Agreements between General Motors and the United Auto Workers Union.
* Implements safety and good housekeeping practices
* Implements divisional and Corporate policies
* Frequent contact with others outside the work group
* Coordinates input from internal/external customers to better understand customer needs and/or perceptions
* Keeps abreast of current product developments and trends in areas of expertise
* Actively identifies new areas for learning and takes advantage of learning opportunities
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing or equivalent experience
* High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult
* High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
* High level of oral and written communication skills
* High level of technical expertise in Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
