Description
What You Will Do In Your Role - Coach & mentor plant teams on use of Quality methodology (8D, SPC, etc.).
- Facilitate regional projects to drive down recurring claims and scrap losses.
- Help with standardization through implementation of (1) Proven Practices defined by OpEx and (2) regional Quality initiatives.
- Track, monitor and analyze quality performance using statistical techniques.
- Driving Management of Change in the Quality Organization.
- Support the Quality Director in driving Layered Process Audits (LPAs) to involve all employees (not just the Quality department) in the auditing process.
- Support the Quality Director in initiatives to improve customer satisfaction and responsiveness.
The Experience You Will BringRequirements: - B.S. degree
- At least 5 years of experience managing quality and process improvements in a manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in SPC and interpretation of data trends.
- Experience in Problem Solving using 8D methodology and tools including 'Is-Is Not', 'Timeline of Changes', 5-Why, Cause Mapping, etc.
- Good coaching and mentoring skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced knowledge of Excel (ie. Spreadsheet creation/editing, pivot tables, data entry and manipulation for the purpose of analysis)
What Will Put You Ahead - Bachelor's Degree in Quality Engineering or other technical discipline
- Strong project management skills.
- Experience with MSA.
- Experience in Operations within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Six Sigma or Quality certification
- Experience with use of BI applications, specifically MS Power BI.
