Director of Professional ServicesThe Director of Project Management manages the Tyler Technologies' Project Management Team and oversees the successful deployment and delivery of all projects within the Public Safety portfolio.
Responsibilities- Manage the Delivery Team (Project Management) within Public Safety and ensure the adherence to the proven Project Implementation Methodology based on the scope and complexity of the projects.
- Ensure the creation of project plans, revenue forecasts, earned value analyses, and other standard project metrics for both the team and the portfolio to ensure optimal efficiency and revenue production.
- Work closely with peers to ensure teams are communicating effectively, inter-team processes related to scheduling, resource assignment, project plans, and customer communications are working efficiently, and most importantly, the customer view is one of seamless integration & communication between the teams.
- Closely monitor and review staffing levels to meet client expectations and client satisfaction, and/or document the need for additional staff depending on sales cycle.
- Forecast and provide quarterly revenue numbers in support of the Public Safety Portfolio and be accountable for results.
- Work with the sales team as necessary to provide assistance when necessary related to RFP deliverables or DEMOs as necessary.
- Develop and maintain strong references after Go-Live based on smooth project lifecycles, strong relationships, and minimal risk.
- Facilitate a coaching culture by ensuring that project managers project executives, and other team members are aware of client feedback during the project implementation. Address these effectively and appropriately with peers within the Consulting Services, Sales, or Engineering teams as necessary.
- Provide mentoring and shadowing opportunities to assist with the professional development and product knowledge of team members.
- Participate in client visits as necessary to help resolve high-level issues.
- Prepare the annual budget for the team.
- Work with PMO to conduct implementation audits on selected projects, including Earned Value Analysis, Schedule Variance Analysis, referenceability, and client temperature.
- Work with PMO to ensure compliance to the implementation methodology. Identify areas within the methodology that may need to be revised to improve efficiency or results.
- Conduct regular team meetings, project reviews, or other events to share current project happenings, company news, review site performance, and review lessons learned to help improve the implementation approach and/or team communications with other teams.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in computer science, accounting, or related field, or comparable equivalent work experience.
- Three to five years of implementation experience.
- Three to five years of staff management experience.
- Four or more years' experience with Tyler products or similar products.
- Strong client service and conflict management skills; ability to effectively resolve high-level problems.
- Ability to be a positive, professional, team-oriented leader who fosters team morale and staff development.
- Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced, technical environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Applicant does not have to be located in Troy, MI.
