Description:
Day to Day Responsibilities: - Provide programming and electronic support for Manufacturing Engineering and Maintenance to support production. This includes machine and process troubleshooting - Support controls integration of quality and equipment related fail safes - Develop and modify PLC and Robotic Programs including Siemens Software TIA Porta, WinCC, Step 7 - Develop and modify Data Acquisition Systems via high level language programming including HMI/SCADA programming (RS View) - Proposes and implement electrical control systems that optimize machine and process performance - Ensure equipment compliance with OSHA, NEC, NFPA and other applicable standards - Train maintenance and manufacturing personnel on control systems - Create and update electrical drawings for equipment and facilities power distribution - Shut down any equipment which is deemed a safety hazard - Approves new and modified equipment and equipment electrical design changes - Authorize repair work
Primary Equipment / Areas of Focus: - 16 Robots (ABB) / 7 Axis Robots with an additional 4 ABB Robots moving product from one area to another - Molding process, presses, sandwich preparation lines, robot programming spraying head, and all interfacing logic - Milling Machine Area: 8 Robots in total - Bonding Area: 2 Robots (ABB) with a separate unit to spray urethane, flue / adhesive into roofing panels

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Must Have Qualifications: - 2 years (MINIMUM) of recent experience (last job, within last year) of working as a Controls Engineer and programming within the Siemens software. - 2 years (MINIMUM) utilizing the TIA portal to program - Ability to troubleshoot - specifically connect with the PLCs, identify the failure within the Logix Controller. - Ability to program from scratch within Siemens - Ability to read electrical prints / schematics - Ability to read pneumatic schematics - Ability to read hydraulic schematics - Communications experience with Ethernet IP, Profinet, Devicenet
Bonus Qualifications: - Experience with Vision Systems / Cameras - Experience collecting data from the PLC
