Since 1962, D&N Bending Corporation has provided a broad range of automotive prototype and production parts to OEMs and other customers across the country. Some of our main customers are Tesla, GM, Magna, Navistar, Karma, and many others. We are looking for full-time CNC Programmers to help in our various Departments located in Romeo, MI.
Responsibilities:
- Reviews 3D CAD design blueprints and creates instructions for machinists
- Makes calculations for programming including where materials should be cut
- Translates instructions into a computer automated manufacturing program
- Communicates with program managers and operators who will use the programs
- Determines the sequence of operations in a program
- Chooses cutting tools that will be needed
- Writes programs and modifies existing ones for increased efficiency
- Analyzes and selects speeds and cutting tolls for programs
- Monitors all programs to make sure they follow blueprint instructions and safely and successfully complete the task
- Complies with all safety rules and regulations
Qualifications:
- Manufacturing experience / knowledge
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude
- Ability to work quickly and methodically
- Superior computer programming skills and reading comprehension skills
- Good math skills
- Good active listening skills
- Must have excellent time management skills
- Good problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of metal shop work
- Ability to read blueprints
- Experience in programming
- Knowledge of electronics and machine tools
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Regularly required to stand, use hands, fingers and arms.
- Could have prolonged periods of computer work
- Able to work in a shop floor environment
- Must be able to work a minimum of a 10 hour shift five days a week and an 6 hour shift on Saturday
- Hours are subject to change depending on production
