Respiratory Therapist
Pontiac, Michigan
We are working with our client in Pontiac, Michigan to find a compassionate and detail-oriented Respiratory Therapist to fill a 3-month travel assignment. Interested therapists should hold a current license/registration in Respiratory Therapy and be a graduate of an accredited school of respiratory therapy. The available shift is 6am - 6:30pm, a 36-hour guarantee.
Responsibilities of the Respiratory Therapist
Interview and examine patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders
Consult with physicians to develop patient treatment plans
Perform diagnostic tests, such as measuring lung capacity
Treat patients by using a variety of methods, including chest physiotherapy and aerosol medications
Monitor and record patients progress
Teach patients how to take medications and use equipment, such as ventilators
Requirements
Respiratory Therapist, Registered (RESP REG)
Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
Must be CPR certified
Minimum 2 year of previous RT experience - Required
Experienced with Adolescent through Geriatric Population - Required
Michigan State RT License
