hofer powertrain is an international, privately owned company for development of high efficient powertrains (transmissions, hybrid systems, electric drives). hofer powertrain has over 800 employees worldwide, mainly throughout Germany. Our US headquarters, established in 2009, is located in Troy Michigan, which has been a commercial and technical representation of the hofer group, mainly focused on business development and customer relationship management. Currently hofer USA has 10 employees and intends to install more engineering recourse to establish local competency and become a competent partner for our US customers.
We are seeking a responsible full-time Administrative Assistant for our Troy office, located at 5600 New King Dr, Suite 330. Duties of the Administrative Assistant include providing support to our managers and employees, assisting in daily office needs and help manage our company's general administrative activities. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM- 5:00 PM.
- Answer telephone calls and emails
- Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports
- Assist in monthly accounting preparation
- Reconcile time sheets, vacation and Expense reports of employees,
- Consolidate receipts, maintain bookkeeping spread sheet, etc..
- Invoicing and paying bills
- Communicate with Accounting and tax consultants
- Develop and maintain a filing system
- Plan meetings and take detailed minutes
- Assist in event planning (e.g. exhibitions)
- Book travel arrangements
- Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters and forms
- Liaise with administrative assistants of other hofer locations (mostly in Europe) to handle intercompany administrative procedures
- Other duties as necessary
