What you will be doing in this role:
We are looking for a highly motivated and driven Workplace Technology Sales Consultant to join our Smart and Connected (S+C) team. You will work both independently as well as in a complementary role to the current account team(s), selling our entire portfolio of Smart + Connected products along with managed services to our largest and most strategic accounts, often working with Fortune 500 caliber clients.

You will provide subject matter expertise for a continuously evolving portfolio of products, solutions and managed services. In this role, you will create and execute in-depth strategic account and opportunity plans to deliver maximum contractual and revenue potential. In addition, part of your responsibilities will also include leading complete and complex sales-cycles, often presenting to C-level executives on the value of our full suite of services, management analytics and applications. Forecasting sales activity, in depth account/business planning and revenue using salesforce.com will also form part of your responsibilities while staying focused on finding new opportunities, fostering relationships and nurturing satisfied customers. Your role is to evangelize the Steelcase Smart + Connected aspirational vision through your strategy development and creation of the Steelcase specific value-added differentiation, in-market events, and strategic account specific initiatives.
Your role includes building strategic regional relationships and, thereby, includes regular overnight travel.
Who you are: You are curious, passionate and highly knowledgeable in IoT, End User Experience and End Point Computing based Technologies and Services. You will have in depth and lengthy managed services experience and solid business-to-business sales and net new account creation and relationship-based experience. You have a natural ability to translate specific value propositions into the customer's value framework and strategy. You have lots of experience with and comfort leading a complex sale with multiple decisionmakers and enjoy unearthing new selling opportunities. You are credible and genuine in your desire to weave technology into our broader brand story and thereby also confident when selling both in person and virtually.
Desired Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business, IT, or related field
Experience in a pure hunting, individual quota carrying managed services, software or technology sales
Experience selling into the largest and most complex Fortune 500 and Enterprise customers
IT or AV, including HD videoconferencing, as well as network technology experience
Expertise in Managed Services, Enterprise software and/or SaaS solutions expertise strongly preferred
Strong computer skills, including salesforce.com , Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Previous Sales Methodology training, CRM experience, and strong customer references preferred
