Summary: Under supervision, provides basic nursing assistance and assists residents with daily living activities. These individuals have completed the 8 hour online certification course and pass facility competency skills checklist.:

Essential Functions: * Perform tasks under the direct supervision of a nurse or independently if competency is validated * Competency areas are * Personal safety and Emergency Care * Documentation and Core Nursing Skills * Positioning, Moving and Restorative Care * Nutrition and Elimination * Advanced and Specialty Care Environments * Comfort Care and End of Life * Assists residents with grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair, and incontinence care. * Obtains food trays and assists residents with feeding. * Assists resident with turning and positioning in bed * Assists resident with ambulation for short distance in facility. * Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration rates, and food and fluid intake and output, as directed. * Performs other tasks as assigned.. * Reports to Charge Nurse or designee on progress/lack of progress in achieving restorative goals.:
