Technician will be responsible for building bench test properties for Electrical Validation. These will be system benches which have electrical components from a vehicle with custom built wiring harnesses in alignment with vehicle schematics. The Technician will work closely with a System Bench Lead Engineer who designs the bench and guides the build process. Tasks will be communicated through work tickets and Technician should provide feedback regarding requests to ensure clarity and sufficient details to execute work with first time quality.
Required Skills/Experience
Minimum 2 year Associate's degree in electrical/electronic or equivalent experience (minimum of 4-6 years)
Electrical & Electronic Background
Able to read and comprehend electrical & electronic schematics
Design simple and complex circuitry
Troubleshooting skills
Use and understanding of testing equipment:
· Digital Oscilloscopes- REQUIRED
· Digital Volt Meters- REQUIRED
· Spectrum Analyzers - PREFERRED
· Crimping Tools - REQUIRED
· Waveform Generator - PREFERRED
· NeoVi test tool - PREFERRED
· Vehicle Spy test tool - PREFERRED
· Tech II - PREFERRED
· Programmable power supplies - REQUIRED
Prior experience in vehicle electrical system bench construction
Electrical harness fabrication
Vehicle electrical system
Vehicle electrical connectors and terminal knowledge
Computer skills: Excel, Word, writing macros a plus
Preferred Skills/Experience
· Surface mount soldering
· Knowledge of HVF (Harness Verification Frame)
· Knowledge of EVC
· Harness Pin to Pin verification
· Battery testing
· Knowledge of 3172 procedures
· Environment chamber/dynamic shaker
