We are a Metro Detroit business trade school with exciting career training programs for adult students. If you are new to our industry but are experienced in party promotions, club promotions, community outreach, administrative, office, banking, sales, customer service, or management, you may have transferable skills to move into our industry.
Job Summary: The Education Event Promoter works under the direction of the Regional Director of Admissions.
- Recruit, Introduce, Interview, and Enroll prospective students within the community into Academy programs.
- Education Event Promoters are expected to meet and/or exceed established recruitment objectives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Recruit, introduce programs, and enroll students that meet admission requirements for entry into school programs. Interview prospective students in order to describe school programs and services, understand their educational needs, and invite them to an enrollment workshop.
Assist in planning, organizing, and conducting open houses, orientations, and other new student events: other admissions- and recruiting-related tasks as assigned and deemed necessary.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS ABILITIES: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Organizational and time management skills. Excellent listening and interpersonal skills. Experience using Outlook, Word, and Excel applications preferred will training on the job.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Available to work in the community during the day, afternoon, or evening before 10:00 pm, flexible hours available. Must be able to meet deadlines and meet with prospective students in the community.
NOTE THIS POSITION IS THE FOLLOWING:
- 20-hours weekly for the first 90-days. Opportunity to advance to 40-hours weekly and pay incentive.
- May be required to attend job fairs, community events, networking events, and small groups presentation.
- Must use own transportation is required.
- Must have own cellphone with text messaging capability.
