The National Center for School Safety (NCSS) and the Region V Public Health Training Center (PHTC) at the University of Michigan, School of Public Health seek an Administrative Coordinator to support customer service, communications, technical assistance, and training activities for the two centers. This position will provide 75% effort to the NCSS and 25% effort to the Region V PHTC. The Administrative Coordinator will report primarily to the NCSS Project Manager and will work with the Region V PHTC Director of Workforce Development.
Funded by the Bureau of Justice Assistance, the NCSS brings together a multi-disciplinary team of academics and practitioners to develop comprehensive and accessible training and technical assistance for the K-12 school safety community nationwide. This comprehensive training and technical assistance program is designed for educators, law enforcement professionals, mental health professionals, and others.
The Region V PHTC is funded by the Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). Its purpose is to strengthen the current and future public health workforce through continuing education, student development, and other capacity building activities done in collaboration with community-based partners and technical assistance providers.
The Administrative Coordinator candidate will need to possess creativity, technology capabilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality customer service. This position is term-limited for 1.5 years of grant funding with the possibility of renewal.
