POSITION TITLE: IT Project Manager
GENERAL SUMMARY: Responsible for developing and managing technology projects cost, time and scope; responsibilities include maintenance and creation of the project plan, communication plan, allocation of tasks and milestone setting. Day-to-day collaboration required with all members of the project team and leadership to ensure the organization is able to achieve its objectives. Individual will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to develop consensus around the project implementation and delivery.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Coordination of activities of project team including identification of appropriate resources needed to ensure timely completion of project within budget
- Development of project plans with milestones, deliverables, schedules and tasks for assigned small projects or phases of larger projects
- Assignment of tasks to project team members with appropriate tracking of progress to plan
- Alignment of project objectives with company goals, and making sure project team is clear on objectives
- Coordination and facilitation of project team meetings including agendas and minutes
- Documentation of project risks and issues with facilitation of resolution plan(s)
- Communication of project status to stakeholders, management and senior IT leadership
- Assure quality of work by coordinating review prior to implementation with appropriate written documentation
- Recognize and advise leadership of concerns and/or issues, and provide appropriate follow up to identified issues
- Demonstrates good business skills and works effectively to build relationships with client departments, management, clinicians and physicians.
- Coordinates activities necessary to accomplish the expected outcomes of multiple initiatives as assigned by management. May assist in the delegation, coordination and motivation of staff.
- Provides proactive, effective communication with verbal and written status reports, manages meetings and facilitates requirements, problem solving.
- Maintains a positive work atmosphere in behaving and communicating in a manner that promotes favorable working relationships with customers, clients, co-workers and management
- Maintains an understanding of the organization and the tools available in order to successfully plan work detail and schedule resources to meet target dates. Coordinates multiple activities, set priorities and provides direction to others.
- Maintains an understanding of the industry-wide changes and trends of technology developments and applications.
STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS
- 3-5 years of project management experience; theoretical and practical project management knowledge; experience in strategic planning, risk management and/or change management a plus; strong understanding of healthcare business process and technology preferred
- PMP certification preferred
