Key Account Manager
Job description:
AVL is looking for a Key Account Manager to join the Test Systems team. The Key Account Manager (KAM) is responsible for accounts located in the Southeastern portion of the US. The KAM maintains a market presence with the customer base to have a high level of comfort and trust, enabling AVL to be their first choice for testing equipment among products with comparable pricing and technology. This is a great opportunity for an engineering leader who wants to transition to a business leadership role.
Qualified candidates for this role must posssess STRONG communication and leadership skills. A background in new technologies is preferred as well as background in the automotive industry. Sales ability and a proven track record is also needed in this role. In addition, the industry is consistently adapting and changing and this role should also be able to flow and embrace changes and new challenges.

Profile description:
* Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business, engineering, or related area
* 7-10+ years of experience in sales
* Demonstrated superior sales experience, or goal recognition required.
* Experience with a formal sales process, and CRM system preferred.
* Domestic Travel can range from approximately 5 – 50%, depending on specific account base. Minimal overseas travel required
* Excellent communication skills
* Self-motivated and proactive
